Queensland

The Queensland Branch was established in 1976 and has been a strong influence in the records and information management industry in Queensland since its inception.  The main focus of the Branch is to build records and information management within the state of Queensland through strategic planning, marketing and liaison.  With Queensland’s extensive size the Branch works with the Qld Chapter to ensure records and information management professionals not only have a voice, but are well equipped to face the continual changes and challenges experienced.

Professional development within Queensland is delivered through various collaborative opportunities.  These take the form of:

  • Annual State Conference in May

  • Annual Chapter Symposium in October/November

  • Delivery of morning, lunch and afternoon seminar sessions

  • Delivery of 2 full day meetings/seminars

  • Networking Opportunities – Christmas in July function and Christmas Celebration

The QLD Branch also celeberates the achievements of professionals and students within the records and information industry through their annual state awards the QLD RIMPA Excellence Awards.
