Media Release: RIMPA’s Annual Convention Cancelled for the first time in 35 years
On Monday night the Board met virtually to discuss the burgeoning issues surrounding the COVID pandemic in relation to the delivery of the RIMPA Live 2020 Convention. Whilst we were hopeful to be able to deliver a hybrid event the recent outbreaks and border closures have forced our hand and we have had to make the tough decision to cancel the RIMPA Live 2020 Convention.
Chair of the Board Thomas Kaufhold said that "the health and safety of our delegates, sponsors, trade vendors, staff and everyone involved in the delivery of the event, was paramount in making this decision". RIMPA as an organisation, has been proactive in delivering virtual events for our members these past few months and the team continue to build on this momentum with an alternative mini convention series scheduled to be held in the month of October”.
RIMPA Rocktober will provide our members and our global audience with the opportunity, to connect with professionals and gain inspiration from a selection of international presenters and industry experts that we have sourced to be featured in this series. Further information about the Rocktober series will be available soon on the RIMPA website.
We wish everyone the best of health in these challenging times.
