Sadly, Rob Di Leva has stepped down from the role of Independent Director due to personal commitments. The role of Director comes with time consuming responsibilities and with a young family and commitments of his own, Rob decided he was unable to give the role the devotion that it needs. We thank Rob for the wonderful job he did in his short time with RIMPA and wish him the best in all his future endeavours.
As a result, a new Independent Director has been appointed, Mathew Monahan. Mathew will be taking over the role of Rob Di Leva, as the education and advocacy portfolio lead.
Matthew has a wealth of experience in the not for profit sector in the areas of professional development/education, event and project management. Matthew has worked across the health, aged care, sustainability industries in both private and public sectors. He has acquired the knowledge and approach to 'think outside the square' and deliver innovative, creative and sustainable business outcomes, and has a broad range of experience having delivered local, national and international projects.
Matthew is passionate about all aspects of project management, business and stakeholder management. His areas of specialty include financial management, leadership, and business operations. Matthew holds a master’s in business administration supported by tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, and education. Matthew is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a National Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and the Governance Institute.
Matthew is passionate about driving organisational success through strategic leadership, effective governance and risk management strategies. Matthew looks forward to working with fellow board directors and the RIMPA team and member community, contributing to the continued and future success of the association. RIMPA is an organisation with such rich history and engaged community and look forward facilitating the role of Independent Director with RIMPA.
Matthew is a Board Director of Carers Australia (Victoria), as well as being a member of their Audit, Risk & Finance Committee. Carers Australia (Victoria) is recognised and funded as the leading body for carers and caring families in Victoria. We work collaboratively with Carers Australia and the other State and Territory -based Carer Associations to represent and advocate on behalf of carers throughout Australia. There are more than 2.65 million carers in Australia, which means about 1 in 11 people in Australia are carers.
We welcome Mathew to the RIMPA team and look forward to seeing him excel in this role.
