What a year it has been. Who would have thought that words like pandemic, quarantine and social distancing would have been part of our everyday conversations. COVID19 brought many changes to our everyday lives like working from home and not being able to socialise with our family and friends to searching high and low for a roll of toilet paper. This certainly was an unprecedented year full of interruptions.
RIMPA Queensland did not let this deter us from ending the year on a high note. While our other planned events for the year were put on hold or needed to be held virtually, when restrictions started to ease we started planning our first ‘in person’ event – a day full of great speakers and of course sending off the year that included celebrating and networking with our RIMPA community over Christmas drinks. With the “new normal” in place, the event also had an online option for those who were unable to attend physically due to distance (we had some delegates from across the ditch in NZ) and also for those who were not quite ready to brave the ‘in person’ world yet.
