The Changing of the Guards

Tuesday 23, Feb 2021

Michael Hyland will be retiring from Grace Worldwide on 26 February 2021, after 35 years in the commercial Records and Information Management industry. Michael Hyland has been the Director at Grace’s Records and Information Management for 20 years and has been instrumental in pioneering several initiatives in the industry including offering electronic information gathering through imaging, optical character recognition and data-silo hosting. Mr. Hyland was an active member of PRISM International and had presented at several PRISM conferences and educational sessions both locally and overseas. In 2008 he was awarded the PRISM Volunteer plaque. He was also a corporate member and sponsor of the Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA). His contribution to the industry and to the business has been invaluable.

“Grace has been an incredible place to work. The people are amazing and their talent and willingness to accept and embrace their range of capabilities has delivered significant success to the Grace business,” said Michael Hyland.

Although it will be a sad day when he leaves, Mr. Hyland’s departure comes as no surprise as he gave the company sufficient time to appoint his successor. Following a rigorous recruitment process Michael Dunstone was chosen from a high-quality shortlist of internal and external candidates as his replacement.

As many will know, Mr. Dunstone is no stranger to the industry. He is currently Grace’s National General Manager and is a committee member at iSigma, Australia and New Zealand with 20 years’ industry experience. His leadership skills and competency will make for an efficient transition and unimpeded business continuity.

“I am very proud and excited to fulfil this role in a company like Grace and privileged to be following Michael’s remarkable career and legacy. Mike has assembled an extraordinary team of experienced professionals whose support will ensure a smooth transition and ensure future success for Grace and its clients.

2020 has accelerated the need for businesses to have their information managed in Digital platforms and Grace is at the forefront of providing our clients with technology and processes that allow a secure and easy transition into this method. We are very fortunate to have a knowledgeable and experienced team of specialists who work closely with clients to ensure a solution will perfectly meet their business requirements,” Mr. Dunstone said.

Management is sorry to lose a legend but is confident that his replacement will be able to seamlessly deliver on the business’ needs and customer expectations.
