A look through the development of RIM Standards from ISO 15488 to AI for Records and Archives. The presentation will cover the evolution of standards in New Zealand from the Public Records Act 2005, to a global stocktake of the standards for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and what this means for practitioners.

Stephen is an Information/Data Management Consultant, previously a Chief Data Officer, and the NZ Chief Archivist. Stephen has co-developed standards such ISO15489, ISO13028, ISO16175, amongst others. As an anthropologist he understands human systems, and as a technical expert he understands information systems, using technology to connect them is his mission.
