Damian is the Executive Director of the State Records Office WA (SRO) and State Archivist. Damian and the team at the SRO share a mission to provide ‘A secure and discoverable records of government that is valued by our community and used to a create a legacy for current a future generation of Western Australians’.

Debbie completed her MBA in 2006 and recently completed her Master of IT Leadership with Deakin University. She is an Information Management (IM) leader with expertise across the full information lifecycle, including governance, records, knowledge management, information architecture, and digital enablement. She helps organisations treat information as a strategic asset, balancing compliance, risk, and regulatory obligations with accessibility and value creation.
With 30 years’ experience, Debbie has led IM strategies, frameworks, and policies aligned to organisational objectives, establishing governance structures, classification schemes, and retention and disposal controls. Partnering closely with key stakeholders, Debbie bridges business needs and technology, identifies digital opportunities, and drives change. Her pragmatic approach recognises that IM maturity depends on culture and capability.
