At the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Ark is sealed away in a vast warehouse - safe but effectively lost.
This session uses that iconic movie moment as a metaphor for how organisations manage digital information: retained “just in case,” but rarely governed for disposal.
Through interactive, team-based scenarios, participants will explore the practical realities of digital disposal, including:
- getting our taxonomy and disposal schedule working together
- disposal of content from outside of our EDRMS
- determining retention periods
- exploring folder versus item (file) level disposal
Grounded in real-world examples, this session will equip you with practical insights to move from passive retention to proactive, defensible disposal -so your organisation doesn’t end up with its own warehouse of “important stuff.”
