Stream 2 | The Carnegie Stage

One of the functions of State Records NSW is to oversight recordkeeping in public offices covered by the State Records Act 1998. The biennial Recordkeeping Monitoring Exercise (RME) is the primary mechanism for monitoring the state of records management and recordkeeping in the NSW Government. The RME involves public offices completing an online self-assessment (the RMAT).

This session will provide an overview of the results of the recent RME and discuss how public offices can use those results and their own assessments for improvement. The presentation will also cover how State Records NSW plans to use the results of the RME to elevate records management in NSW, improve compliance with the State Records Act, and engage with public offices to provide targeted advice and assistance.
