Andrea is a seasoned professional with over twenty-five years of experience in business and information management. Her career began in marketing, where she quickly recognised the value of effective information management for customer insights and making informed business decisions. This realisation prompted her passion in the field of database development and information systems support.
Over the years, Andrea's expertise and dedication led her to excel in Local Government information and records management. She successfully navigated various roles, gaining proficiency in strategy development, information and data architecture, project delivery, and governance. Her broad skill set enables her to drive sustainable information management practices while delivering pragmatic solutions.
In addition to her technical prowess, Andrea is a skilled trainer and coach. She possesses a passion for her sector and enjoys empowering others along the way. Through coaching stakeholders and engaging people on their information management journeys, she fosters collaboration and ensures the successful implementation of initiatives.
She actively participates in the development of ISO standards and holds the role of convenor for the International Working Group for Recordkeeping Standards in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Her involvement in these initiatives demonstrates her dedication to promoting best practices and maintaining high standards within the sector.
