As part of this uplift, the systems component includes an uplift of our Electronic Document and Record Management System, which is based on SharePoint and AvePoint. The uplift initiatives focus on the implementation of two new modules from AvePoint - Cloud Governance and Opus. These modules are critical to modernising the Agency’s information management systems and improving compliance, usability, and operational efficiency. With this comes a change in the end user experience requiring all staff in the CER to change the way they interact with the system, as they are the ones creating and using the records. The core change is that they will be required to capture more metadata for document Sets and documents as they use the system and embedding the use of the system into their day-to-day business processes.
To support the successful delivery of outcomes from this program, the IG team requires the engagement of a Senior Change Manager. This individual will play a pivotal role in leading the change management stream, ensuring that the transition to new systems and processes is smooth, well-communicated, and widely adopted across the Agency. In addition to leading change initiatives, this individual will serve as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach, helping to maintain delivery momentum and uplift the capability of the IG team through agile practices and continuous improvement.
The individual must bring a strong background in change management, project leadership, agile methodologies, and curriculum development with relation to Information Governance in the federal government context. Their expertise will ensure that change is not only implemented but embedded into the Agency’s culture and operations.
Key duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and delivering tailored change intervention packages to support adoption of new systems and processes across the Agency.
- Launching readiness campaigns and managing stakeholder engagement during cutover phases to ensure smooth transitions and high levels of user engagement.
- Overseeing the migration and implementation of AvePoint’s Cloud Governance and Opus modules, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical requirements.
- Facilitating the implementation of the new Records Authority, including the development of a detailed deployment plan and targeted change interventions to maximise adoption and compliance.
- Supporting the design and integration of business process rules into workflows, ensuring they are practical, user-centred, and aligned with the Agency’s governance objectives.
