About The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Information Management, this is a full-time, permanent position within the Information Technology team. As the Lead, Information Management, you will drive strategic initiatives, oversee platform enhancements, and manage project delivery across Melbourne Water’s Enterprise Information Management (EIM) environment. This role provides expert guidance, ensures compliance and risk mitigation, fosters stakeholder engagement, and supports team leadership to deliver secure, efficient, and future-focused information management practices.
In this role you will:
- Lead the design and management of EIM platform structures, metadata, permissions, and security models.
- Lead aspects of the Enterprise Information Management Program and advise on the implementation of EIM solutions
- Lead and manage various projects as required on all aspects of information management across the information lifecycle including; digitisation, physical records, annual disposal program, system amendments and testing.
- Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of physical and digital information and records management
- Own and lead the information risk reduction program across unstructured repositories, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the Manager Information Management and Advise on the strategic roadmap for EIM platforms, aligning it with organisation goals, user feedback, and compliance obligations
- Define, influence and implement platform enhancements to strengthen governance, data privacy, security, and information lifecycle compliance.
- Engage and influence business users and stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships with business units, vendors, and partners to support innovation and evolving needs.
- Monitor platform performance and compliance through reporting frameworks, contributing to continuous improvement and informed decision-making
- Advise on change management and adoption strategies to embed Information management practices across the organisation, including training and stakeholder engagement.
About You
- Tertiary degree in Information Management, Information Science, Records Management or equivalent experience
- Extensive practical experience in enterprise wide information lifecycle management processes and systems
- Demonstrated experience in platform management or similar expertise in EIM technologies or solutions
- Experience in project, budget and contract management
- Extensive technical expertise of content management systems, document management, collaboration tools and related technologies
- Extensive technical expertise in working with shared Network Drives, end-user administration and associated data migrations
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate with, and engage with all areas of the business
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts with service providers
- Manual handling experience and capability to lift and move standard archive cartons (max. 16kgs)
- Obtain AusCheck Clearance. (please see important information below*)
- Hold a Valid Australian Drivers Licence
