Meryl Bourke is the Records Management Program Leader at Logan City Council with 37 years’ experience in the Records and Information Management industry.
Meryl leads a wonderful team of records and information management professionals who all share a passionate for their roles and the importance of good records and information management.
Meryl has been an active member of RIMPA Global for around 25 years and was the Qld Chapter President for 17 years. Meryl has participated in a number of RIMPA working and advisory groups over the years and is currently a member of the Status Upgrade Review Working Group and the RIMPA Global Awards Committee.

Nancy is an Information Management Consultant, a role she has held for 2 years. Prior to this she worked in both local and state government where she held various positions from Clerical Officer to RM Manager. Her 30 years in R&IM has provided her with not only a passion for this industry but the technical skills and knowledge to help lead RIMPA Global forward in our new global direction. She enjoys challenges and looking at opportunities in innovative and collaborative ways.
Nancy’s involvement in RIMPA Global started in 1998 and she obtained Chartered status in 2018. She was a member of the Queensland Branch (commencing 2006) and Chapter (commencing 2003) until they ceased operation in 2022. She held various positions on both Councils including Branch President (6 years) and Chapter Secretary (12 years). Nancy was appointed as the inaugural Awards and Recognition Portfolio Lead in 2019 where she redesigned the RIMPA Global awards during her time as the Lead. In 2021 Nancy was the recipient of the Chris Simpson Outstanding Individual award and the J Eddis Linton Outstanding Individual award.

Petá Sweeney, an accomplished professional, has a rich background in the information disciplines. Her journey began as a library assistant, and over the years, she has honed her expertise through study, professional development, and extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
Petá played a pivotal role in the whole-of-government rollout of the Queensland Public Records Act and contributed significantly to several eDRMS (electronic document and records management system) implementations. Her strategic acumen extends to information management strategy, policy development, and the creation of essential tools for effective information governance.
Currently the Information and Content Specialist at RIMPA Global, Petá brings her wealth of knowledge to the organisation. Her commitment to excellence is evident through her long-standing professional membership, recognition as a Fellow in 2013 and receiving the prestigious J Eddis Linton Outstanding Individual award in 2022.
Petá’s dedication extends beyond her professional achievements. For over a decade she actively contributed to the industry by serving on RIMPA Global Queensland’s State Government Chapter and the Branch Council, holding various roles, including Professional Development Coordinator and President. Petá’s influence also extends globally, having been a foundation member of the RIMPA Global Governance Advisory Branch Australasia before assuming the role of Vice-Chair on the RIMPA Global Board.
Petá’s passion lies in sharing knowledge and facilitating learning opportunities. She enjoys hosting students, and her engaging presence makes her a sought-after MC and presenter who embodies expertise, dedication, and a commitment to advancing the field of information management.

Nicole has 23 years’ experience in public sector information and records management.
Over this time, Nicole has led projects ranging from sentencing and archiving large volumes of files; EDRMS implementation and associated change management processes; and the creation of a federal government’s Retention and Disposal Authority - all while remaining in North Queensland.
She is an advocate for the importance of RIM practitioners living and working in rural/remote areas and sees RIMPA Global as a key enabler for this. Nicole is a co-founder of TropiCoP – a community of practice for RIM practitioners in North Queensland.

Carolyn Atkinson is a highly accomplished Records and Information Management professional with over two decades of experience across various WA State Government agencies. Known for her strategic leadership and deep expertise in records and information management. Carolyn has successfully led cross-functional teams, developed long-term records management strategies, and driven compliance with legislative standards.
Her career includes key roles at the State Records Office of WA, Department of Education, and Metropolitan Cemeteries Board, where she has consistently delivered innovative solutions and enhanced organisational efficiency. A Chartered Member of RIMPA and recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Award, Carolyn is passionate about fostering best practices in recordkeeping and mentoring the next generation of professionals.

Lisa is an experienced practitioner with more than 25 years’ experience in Information and Records Management working for a range of organisations both Private and Public.
Lisa is also the Managing Director of Information Proficiency whose team is made up of a diverse bunch of people. Apart from all the usual management tasks, and project tasks, her role includes channelling the passion of team members into projects where they can perform well, feel valued, and not internally combust.

Anne Cornish is the Chief Executive Officer of RIMPA, and also works as the lead trainer and workshop development officer, delivering over 30 workshop sessions in the past 12 months.
Anne has been active in the field of training and education development for over thirty years, focusing on training in records management technical skills and the required soft skills which are often expected to become well-rounded professionals. Anne has a vast experience in various eDRMS products, classification systems and change management concepts and has conducted various mentoring programs both in person and virtually.
