We're looking for a strategic leader to drive a fundamental shift in how we manage, govern and unlock the value of information and data at the City of Gold Coast.
The Role: Information Data Uplift Lead 📍 Bundall | 💰 $111,401 - $117,924 p.a. | 📅 Fixed term until June 2027 | ⏰ 9-day fortnight
This is more than a governance role - it's about leading cultural transformation. You'll be responsible for uplifting skills, practices and mindset within our Information & Data team, transitioning us from a traditional information-focused function to a modern, integrated capability that powers data-driven decision-making across our organisation.
What you'll do:
Lead capability uplift and embed new ways of working
Integrate enterprise data management into existing information operations
Design and coordinate targeted training and development programs
Drive sustainable change that aligns with our strategic vision
Build a culture where information and data are recognised as strategic assets
What we need:
✔️ Tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Data Governance, Library Science, IS or Business (or equivalent leadership experience)
✔️ Proven track record leading transformation in information/data management functions
✔️ Deep knowledge of governance frameworks and standards (DAMA, ISO 8000, ISO 15489)
✔️ Strong change leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
✔️ Experience in public sector data governance environments
