Ana Pickering Resigns as LIANZA Executive Director

In case you missed the recent announcement regarding the departure of the current LIANZA executive director, Ana Pickering – Ana has resigned from her role at Te Rau Herenga o Aotearoa LIANZA. Her final day will be Friday, August 18, 2023.

Ana became LIANZA’s executive director in January 2018 and she has contributed greatly to LIANZA since that time. She has been a strategic and articulate executive director achieving a lot in the time she has been with us. Ana has contributed to the professional development of the Library and Information sector through the many events and webinars LIANZA has provided, which includes two highly successful conferences in 2019 and 2021 (2021 being a 100% virtual conference). She has been instrumental in the establishment of the LIANZA SLANZA Tertiary Grants project to increase access to library and information qualifications. She is an active networker with the wider GLAMMIR sector encouraging joint advocacy and engagement on shared interests.

We know that she will be missed but we wish her every success in her new role.

LIANZA Council is currently in the recruitment process for a new executive director. We will inform you when an appointment is made.
