Rebbell is a dedicated supporter of RIMPA and honoured to have represented NSW as Director of NSW for the last 10 years. He has worked in Local Government in a range of roles including Library Services, Customer Service and Records after beginning work in Library Services at Kogarah Council and then at Willoughby Library, Botany Library, Randwick Library, Rockdale Customer and Records and now Bayside Council NSW as the Coordinator Records & Information Management. During Rebbell’s 40 years of service in Local Government he has been fortunate to have had many opportunities to develop a well-rounded understanding of the services provided to clients, stakeholders and residents/ ratepayers. Winning the RIMPA - J Eddis Linton Outstanding Group Award 2019 for the Amalgamation of two Council Records systems into one – Bayside Council NSW.
Some key projects led by Rebbell include the introduction of Third Party Print Services, 2 new Council Library buildings, Offsite storage of Council's records and the classification, storage and digitisation of Council's significant Records, fully automated system for the control, issue and storage of council’s documents, including the transfer from a paper based system to electronic (TRIM and Content Management), closing the Bayside Councils NSW Network drives and last the amalgamation of two Councils Records System, Botany Council and Rockdale Council to form Bayside Council NSW - TRIM to Content Management.
