Cleophas holds a doctorate in information sciences from the University of South Africa (UNISA). He also holds a Masters in Information Sciences (Records Management) and a Bachelors Degree in Information Sciences both from Moi University, Kenya. He serves as the Chairperson of Kenya Association of Records Managers and Archivists (KARMA). Cleophas works as HR Manager in a leading commercial Bank in Kenya and East Africa.
Jacqueline is a dedicated leader in records and information management, with more than 15 years’ experience driving strategic Information Governance within the government sector. As an ambassador for RIMPA Global, she champions risk management and the modernisation of industry practices. Jacqueline is eager to advance the profession and communicate the value of the industry to executive leadership. Committed to continuous professional development, she thrives on collaboration and sharing knowledge with peers to inspire positive change. Alongside her ambassador role, Jacqueline offers consultancy services, helping professionals develop strategic plans, governance frameworks, training programs, benchmarking and conducting compliance assessments.
Miccaeli Champness is a passionate advocate for wholistic information management practice that realises the value of information as a strategic asset. She currently leads the Information Management team at Coal LSL, a federal Corporate Commonwealth Entity.
With over five years’ experience in information and records management, Miccaeli has worked to establish the information management function as an enabler for business and technology, collaborating and leading strategic uplift initiatives and digital transformation projects. Miccaeli uses her business analysis skillset to establish a business partnership model that helps stakeholders to understand and mature their own information management practices as well as drive compliance with legislative requirements.
As a RIMPA Global Ambassador, Miccaeli seeks to connect with other information management professionals to knowledge share, and to act as an advocate for the value of records and information management in the digital age.
Justin has worked in the Information Management industry for over 17 years and is currently a Director with a State Government agency based in Perth.
With a passion for providing practical advice and solutions, Justin is currently focussed on enabling business through digital initiatives and mitigating information risks through the implementation of classification labelling and privacy initiatives. Through the Ambassador role, he is committed to promoting the value and visibility of information management across the industry.
Justin actively engages across industries, utilising his information management expertise to support strategic initiatives, identify pathways for future information professionals, and drive positive change. He is passionate about building information management maturity across the sector, in particular government agencies, and is willing to assist where possible.
My professional experience is quite broad. I like to push myself and to try and find my strengths and my weaknesses and improve them both. I have worked in many industries and can bring a broad range experience to any role I am working in.

John has worked in business development for 23 years providing outsourced services, including digitisation, information and records management, fully automated multichannel communications, full business process re-engineering and operational managed services. John works with Government supplying secure end to end digitisation services, including ballot scanning for election events and preservation digitisation of heritage materials from paper files, books, and maps to micro fiche for the likes of the National Library and National Archives of Australia.
Sarah has spent nearly two decades working at the intersection of corporate governance and information governance across local, state, and federal government, as well as the utilities, health, law enforcement, regulation and education sectors.
Her focus has always been on making governance frameworks not just compliant, but practical and usable in complex environments. She is passionate about strengthening capability across the industry and supporting professionals to meet real-world challenges in both legacy and digital environments.
Career highlights include developing and implementing enterprise-wide information governance strategies in government organisations; contributing to the national program for Work Health and Safety legislative harmonisation, giving all Australians a fairer chance of returning home safely from work; managing and maintaining corporate information and cabinet information, and supporting commissions of inquiry by designing governance strategies for secure evidence protocols, transparency, and alignment with archival obligations.
Sarah has also delivered large-scale data migration programs, bridging executive vision with operational execution across both legacy and cloud systems; and has led and contributed to many digital transformation projects.
In local government, Sarah worked as Executive Officer to the CEO and Mayor, supporting governance functions, managing council and board meetings, engaging with stakeholders, and coordinating the regional organisation of councils across the NSW mid-north coast. She then moved into the role of Information Governance Manager, where her passion for information management firmly took shape. Earlier in her career, she also worked in youth services, supporting young people unable to live at home—an experience that grounded her belief in the importance of people’s voices in shaping policy.
More recently, Sarah’s work has focused on privacy-conscious governance, balancing compliance with the protection of people’s rights. Her core perspective is: “How fundamental information is to governance, and how fundamental governance is to managing information.”
Sandra Ennor has embraced nearly 30 years in the industry and is currently working as an Information Management Consultant.
Tackling widespread challenges is core to her work, including improving information governance and building an awareness of strategic objectives into client engagement.
Pursuing a number of related interests has broadened Sandra’s awareness of industry perspectives as well as a deeper appreciation of risk management.

Peter is an Information ‘sense maker’ and has been translating its capabilities for business since his first involvement with RIMPA in the 90’s. It’s been his passion bringing to life soft and hard benefits from understanding corporate memory.
Peter has delivered outcomes across 14 business sectors in multiple cultures and countries. This includes Federal State and Local Government in Australia and UK coupled with a Plethora of private sector Global companies. He is currently deep diving into the AI world with his ICT & Defence colleagues.
His focus has remained on creating innovation or competitive advantage with valuable, secure, and compliant Information assets by ensuring core business has aligned behaviours, processes, and technology.

Juliet has worked in the Records and Information sector for over 25 years. A qualified Records and Information Management professional Juliet has designed, developed and implemented a number of Records and Information management solutions across a number of sectors including higher education, education, all levels of government, not for profit, financial and community welfare sectors.
Juliet has supported a number of agencies with development of responses to security breaches, information security access and marking implementation and high-level discovery request at all levels from Royal Commission to FOI responses. Juliet is passionate about all things records and information management together and advocating for the ongoing relevancy, development and professionalism of R And IM.
Carolyn has over 40 years' experience in managing and leading the effective management of information assets. She aims to enable good, and inspire better, practice.
With no disrespect to African folklore that says, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, Carolyn believes ‘it takes a network to raise awareness’. She uses her and others' extensive networks to learn, share and deliver.
Carolyn will help you understand information value and will partner with you to maximise that value. She wants to see information used, re-used, shared, and aggregated to build knowledge, and wisdom. Carolyn is a RIMPA Global ambassador and, more than once, you will hear about her positive experiences with the program.
Maureen Kenga is an experienced information management specialist, currently serving as a librarian at the State Department for Economic Planning in Kenya. She has 15 years of experience in the field of Information Science and holds an M.Sc. in Information and Knowledge Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Her expertise includes collection development, classification, cataloguing, digital preservation, information dissemination, and the preservation, conservation, and restoration of information. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing knowledge management policies and strategies, nurturing organisational learning, creating communities of practice, knowledge mapping, and fostering knowledge partnerships focused on economic empowerment and development, innovation, and social advocacy on national heritage, culture, and archives.
In addition to her professional role, Maureen volunteers as Secretary-General of the Pwani Ufanisi Farmers’ Cooperative (PUFCO), where she ensures that farmers in Kenya’s coastal region have access to timely agricultural information and knowledge to improve food security and alleviate poverty. She also serves as a facilitator with the Kenya Association of Records Managers and Archives (KARMA).
Maureen is a member of the Records and Information Management Practitioners Alliance (RIMPA) Global and the International Council of Archives (ICA). She was recognized as the best first-time presenter at the iPRES 2023 International Conference on Digital Preservation, held at the University of Illinois. Additionally, she contributes as a volunteer with the global Knowledge Management for Development (KM4DEV) community.
Sheryl Mapp is an information governance professional and has worked across the government and private sector over the last 30 years.
She has successfully led teams and projects that have been both the winner of, and runner-up to, major industry awards.
Sheryl is an accomplished workshop and seminar leader, and emeritus lecturer in records and archives management.
Sheryl participates in professional and community activity including mentoring, consultation, and sponsors a child through the Smith Family organisation.
As well as authoring several books and articles, including a school text book, Sheryl has also been a quiz show contestant on Australian television.
Michele is a highly experienced and respected Information and Records Management consultant with over 35 years of expertise in designing and implementing recordkeeping systems, metadata frameworks, retention schedules and classification structures and in the last 15 years working extensively in the M365 space specialising in Information Architecture and M365 from an RM/IM perspective. She is the Director and Lead Consultant at Records & Information Management Ltd a consultancy that operates across New Zealand and Australia, has done work on international engagements in South Africa, the UK, Seychelles, and various African countries.

Wendy McLain, MLIS, CRM has 20+ years of experience in records and information management within the government, healthcare, engineering, and energy sectors. In partnership with IT, Legal, and other stakeholders, she drives ongoing compliance, synergies, and process improvements. She enjoys lively discussions with colleagues and mentoring the next wave of industry professionals. Her service to the RIM profession spans local and international roles including the Institute of Certified Records Managers Board of Regents (2012-18), the ARMA International Board of Directors (2019 to present), and the ARMA International Educational Foundation (2023 to present).
Lucy has over 35 years’ experience in information management, in both government and private enterprise. During this time has had a keen interest in government, law, utilities and mining.
Her skills include understanding business requirements from definition through to implementation, reporting to all levels of management, developing and implementing recordkeeping frameworks and programs for organisations, systems administration, and training both recordkeeping fundamentals and system training. Further to this, she has vast experience management of libraries as a Library Technician and have also worked in knowledge management environments.
Among her achievements, she is a Chartered Member (MRIM) of RIMPA and is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). In 2023 Lucy was a finalist in the J Eddis Linton Outstanding Individual award.
Lucy specialises in delivering high quality projects and is highly experienced in defining and implementing end-to-end solutions that deliver high adoption rates across collaboration, automation, document and records management services.
Pinakeen boasts over 25 years of extensive experience, with a remarkable 21+ years dedicated to Asset/Engineering Information Management across diverse industries. Throughout his career, Pinakeen has been instrumental in establishing and optimising various information management functions, driving efficiency and excellence.
His expertise encompasses the entire spectrum of Information Management (IM), including the formation of IM governance models, strategies, frameworks, and processes. Pinakeen has adeptly managed resources and implemented risk mitigation plans to ensure smooth operations and project success.

Bethany is commencing a new challenge this year with Technology One, working on their Enterprise Content Management module, including system design and configuration, managing client requirements and carrying out ECM training with client organisations. She is passionate about getting information governance right, and ensuring records and archives are managed coherently by well trained IM staff during digital transformation projects. A digital archivist/information architect by trade, she truly straddles that line between IT and IM, and puts her PROSCI Change Management qualification to good use! She has been in our industry for over three decades, and holds a PhD in Archives and Manuscripts (Belfast, UK, 2008) as well as Postgraduate Qualifications in Archive Administration (Aberystwyth UK 2013) and Public Administration & Applied Government (Ulster, UK 2016).
Bethany is a RIMPA Ambassador, as well as holding memberships with the Australian Information Security Association and The SABSA Institute. She enjoys joining the dots between technology, processes, record keeping, privacy and cyber, and can often be found on the RIMPA Community where she loves to share her expertise and experience. I am an experienced Information Management professional with a strong customer focus and a career spanning over two decades in technical IT, information governance, and records management. Since entering the industry in 2005, I have developed deep expertise in enterprise content management systems, particularly TRIM—known through its evolution as HP TRIM, HPE Records Manager, Micro Focus Content Manager, and now OpenText Content Manager.
My career has been shaped by extensive consulting work within Local Government, where I spent more than ten years supporting organisations to strengthen their information management practices. This experience broadened my perspective and enhanced my capabilities in records management, policy development, and compliance.
In my current role at Brimbank City Council, I lead a dedicated team of six professionals, overseeing recruitment, staff development, and the implementation of policies and procedures that drive best-practice recordkeeping across the organisation. I am passionate about building sustainable information management frameworks that not only meet regulatory requirements but also empower teams to deliver efficient, transparent, and customer-focused services.
Jade started working records management in 2017 and has since developed diverse experience working in a range of settings. She completed a masters of pharmacy in 2022 and has five years of experience studying and working in community and hospital pharmacy in Western Australia. The Ambassador lite role is designed for members who wish to contribute to RIMPA Global’s mission but have limited time to commit. This flexible position allows members to engage in short-term projects and online activities without the regular responsibilities of a full ambassador role. Ambassador lite provides seasoned practitioners the opportunity to focus on specific activities aligned with their expertise and interests and early career professionals an opportunity to make valuable connections and contributions in a time-efficient way.
For the past 30 years Paul Fechner MRIM has worked in Records, Information and Knowledge Management roles expanding across the Private Sector and both State and Local Government.
Through his experience he’s been a firm believer that effective and efficient RIM is a combination of many things and has learnt from both mistakes and successes. He’s conducted hundreds of training sessions along with being a workshop facilitator and is a regular presenter at various conferences…..and enjoys having a bit of fun along the way along with getting inside your head to realise that information is an extremely valuable asset. A thought provoker and culture changer who uses his vast experiences to assist organisations help themselves from within and with the tools they very often have. He’s also been a systems administrator for EDRMS’s and SharePoint and loves what Office 365 can do……but is also wary of ‘the human factor’. Paul enjoys creating a business ecosystem that brings together culture, logistics and the tools available within an Information Governance Framework of plans, policies and guidelines, trainings and clear communications.
Giovanni Forero has extensive experience assisting organisations with their information needs. 6 years of experience working with Medical Records, Data Capture and HIPPA in United States of America, and 13 years of experience working in Australia implementing information and record solutions for clients across all multiple verticals, consulting and developing information strategies to understand the information needs and behaviours of users and organisations.
With a Master on Information and Knowledge Management from UTS, he is currently in the latest stages of his Doctoral research for UTS, investigating the information practices of scientists when researching highly resistant bacteria.
Giovanni has contributed to various Information Science conferences like COLIS 2019, ASIS&T 2019, RAILS 2016 and RIMPA 2017, 2019, 2021, presenting his ideas about the information practices of individuals in the greater context of everyday life and work, and currently directs the Intelligent Information Management (IIM) practice at Konica Minolta, where he advises organisations to implement information solutions, from discovery to implementation and continuous improvement.
David Fricker is a Strategic Consultant, currently based in Abu Dhabi, as Special Advisor to the Director-General National Library and Archives of the UAE.
David is a former Director-General of the National Archives of Australia, a former President of the International Council on Archives and a current member of the UNESCO Memory of the World International Advisory Committee.
David is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Professional Member of the Australian Society of Archivists. In 2015 he was honoured to be made Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres) by the Republic of France.
Laina Hender is a passionate advocate for the records and information management (IM) profession, bringing 13 years of experience in Records officer rolls across 2 organisations, primarily; recordkeeping, digitisation, and hardcopy archiving as well as her current Team Leader Roll promoting sustainable practices and a people focused learning journey. As a RIMPA Global ambassador, she is committed to promoting the value and visibility of information management across the industry.
Through this role, Laina actively engages with stakeholders, supports strategic initiatives, and contributes to strengthening the profession. Dedicated to ongoing professional growth, she enjoys collaborating with fellow members to share insights and drive positive change. Outside of ambassador responsibilities, Laina is a Wife and Mum, an ‘old school techniques’ cook, and avid gardener.
Dr. Neetha Porathur Joseph is a practitioner member of RIMPA Global with a diverse background in education, literature, and information management. Before migrating to Australia in 2003, she began her career as an educator in 1996, holding various lecturing positions in English at Indian institutions. She was awarded her Doctor of Philosophy in 2004 from Bharathiar University, India, for her research on ‘Existentialism in the Select Novels of Anita Desai’. With a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education from the University of Technology Sydney, Neetha served as a full-time permanent teacher in NSW secondary schools for 15 years, where she gained valuable experience in pedagogy and communication.
Her expertise now extends to the GLAMR sector as a qualified NSW Librarian Grade 1. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Information and Library Studies from Curtin University and has also completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and Google AI Essentials from Coursera. An Associate member of the Australian Library Information Association (ALIA), Neetha is a dedicated researcher and active blogger who continually explores the intersection of literature, information, and digital trends. Her professional expertise spans creative writing, publishing, information management, and data analytics.
Jade is an accomplished Information Management practitioner from Information Proficiency with 5+ years’ experience in the Information and Records Management industry. Based in Perth, Western Australia, Jade has an in-depth knowledge of handling sensitive data, medical data, and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Jade’s various roles have seen her heavily involved in records and document management projects in large scale, multidisciplinary environments within the government sectors, where she has undertaken Health Checks, process and policy development and implementation, physical record solutions, helpdesk support, user training, and completed client specific documentation.
Jade is also the current WA Coordinator for Endometriosis Australia and is passionate about the charity and volunteer work she conducts in her spare time.
David Robinson has more than 38 years of experience in the records / information management industry, David has worked in all levels of government to guide agencies to make the most out of their information assets. As a RIMPA Global ambassador, he is committed to promoting the value and visibility of information management across the industry both locally and internationally.
David is responsible for the re-development of the information management program at City of Greater Geelong and has led implementations of information management solutions at government agencies. With a passion for job crafting, liberating structures, storytelling and all things historical David is making it fun again to work in information management.
Cathy Shi is a committed and curious information management professional with 5 years of hands-on experience in the field. Currently working at the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association, she supports the organisation’s information integrity through practical solutions, stakeholder engagement, and continuous process improvement. She’s particularly passionate about helping others understand the impact of good recordkeeping on transparency, accountability, and service delivery. Cathy enjoys connecting with peers across the profession to exchange ideas, support initiatives, and contribute to a more informed and future-ready IM community.
Outside of work, Cathy finds joy in painting and experimenting with coffee latte art—creative outlets that reflect her attention to detail and love of learning.
Nicole has 23 years’ experience in public sector information and records management.
Over this time, Nicole has led projects ranging from sentencing and archiving large volumes of files; EDRMS implementation and associated change management processes; and the creation of a federal government’s Retention and Disposal Authority - all while remaining in North Queensland.
She is an advocate for the importance of RIM practitioners living and working in rural/remote areas and sees RIMPA Global as a key enabler for this. Nicole is a co-founder of TropiCoP – a community of practice for RIM practitioners in North Queensland.
Kaan Volkan has read over 10,000 technical pages on IG technologies and helped numerous organisations clean up file shares. Now, he focuses on sharing his findings to help more organizations overcome data challenges.

Deborah Mburu is passionate in advancing records and information management through digital transformation. With over three years of experience in digital transformation using (Enterprise content management system, Microsoft Dynamics NAV) and ensuring the long term preservation and accessibility of digital records. I am committed in supporting RIMPA'S mission of empowering professionals in information management.
As a Rimpa project Ambassador, Deborah Mburu is committed in promoting digital transformation and best practices in Records Management through advocacy and shareholder engagement. I focus in supporting collaboration, innovation and sustainable digital records preservation within information management community.

Andrea McIntosh is a fierce advocate for the records and information management profession, bringing two decades of hands-on experience in information architecture, Microsoft 365 governance, and empowering organisations to make smarter decisions with their data. As a RIMPA Global Ambassador, she is driven by a mission to raise the visibility, credibility, and energy of the IM profession—locally and globally.
