Our Portfolio Leads play a vital role in shaping and strengthening our professional community. As subject matter champions, they provide strategic guidance, industry insight, and practical leadership across key focus areas within RIMPA Global.
Each Portfolio Lead brings deep expertise and a passion for advancing the Information Management profession. They work collaboratively with committees, Communities of Practice, and the Board to ensure our initiatives remain relevant, forward-thinking, and aligned with the evolving needs of our members.

Meryl Bourke CSRIM CRIM (Life) | Portfolio Lead
Meryl Bourke is the Records Management Program Leader at Logan City Council with 37 years’ experience in the Records and Information Management industry.
Meryl leads a wonderful team of records and information management professionals who all share a passionate for their roles and the importance of good records and information management.
Meryl has been an active member of RIMPA Global for around 25 years and was the Qld Chapter President for 17 years. Meryl has participated in a number of RIMPA working and advisory groups over the years and is currently a member of the Status Upgrade Review Working Group and the RIMPA Global Awards Committee.

Julie Carpenter CRIM | Portfolio Lead
Julie Carpenter is a passionate advocate of information and records management.
With over 20 years’ experience in the information and records industry and qualifications in both Information and Knowledge Management, she specialises in leading teams of professionals to deliver specialised IM services, planning IM strategic direction and developing and implementing policy to support compliance.

Dr Christopher Colwell FRIM (Life) | Portfolio Lead
Chris' career has been focussed on records and information management and corporate governance roles within public sector agencies. Chris is a Fellow, Life Member and former director of RIMPA Global, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and the Chartered Governance Institute and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chris holds an Associate Diploma of Arts (Library Practice), a Bachelor of Applied Science (Information Studies), a Master of Arts (Information & Knowledge Management), a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and a PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences. Chris' doctoral research explored the impact of professional and organisational cultures on recordkeeping practices in public sector agencies.
Chris is currently a sessional lecturer at Curtin University and has previously been a sessional lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney and University of South Australia. He was formerly a member of the Advisory Board for Information Governance Australia & New Zealand, a member of the State Records NSW Public Sector Advisory Committee and Chair of the UTS Information and Knowledge Management Program Consultative Committee.
Thomas Kaufhold CRIM (Life) | Portfolio Lead
A highly respected figure in records and information management, Thomas served as Chair of the Records and Information Practitioners Alliance Global (RIMPA Global) for six years and Federal Treasurer on the RIMPA Board for a total of nine years. A foundation member of the ACT Branch since its inception in 1975, Thomas is a Chartered Member (Life) and has been honored with induction into the Associations Forum’s Hall of Fame in 2020 and the RIMPA Global Hall of Fame in 2023.
Currently, Thomas is an Executive Member of the Global Information Consortium (GIC) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administration (Law Major).
Thomas had a long career as a public servant in various Commonwealth government agencies, with a primary focus on information and records management at a senior level. This work involved providing information services, developing frameworks, policies, procedures, and retention schedules, implementing EDRMS systems, and offering advice to senior management. Other areas of expertise included human resources policy, property management, security, and corporate services.
In addition to public service, Thomas worked as a consultant and contractor for government agencies, including the ACT Government, and for private sector organisations for more than five years.
Now retired, Thomas remains dedicated to supporting the profession and sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience.

Bonita Kennedy CERIM ARIM (Life) | Portfolio Lead
Bonita Kennedy has been working and consulting in Records Management for over 20 years. She has a Graduate Diploma in Information Management and is an Associate Member of RIMPA Global.
Bonita has worked at all levels of records management from registering correspondence to developing records disposal schedules to implementation of EDRMS. Whilst most of her experience is in government she has also worked on projects for private industry including international projects.

Jeremy Manford | Portfolio Lead
Strategic Pillar | Business Development
Jeremy is the CEO of Compu-Stor an information management business which is an Australian owned family business. Jeremy has been with Compu-Stor since 1995 and his passion for innovation has driven the business forward with new technologies and product offerings. Jeremy has decades of experience in the industry and is passionate in taking it forward and supporting the sector.
Outside Compu-Stor, Jeremy is an active member of Family Business Australia and held former position of Victorian Chairman and National Board Member for three years. During his time in FBA, he played an instrumental role in the navigation of Governance and structural changes, including inducting a new CEO and change in the organisation’s membership model. He has been member of the Record Office of Victoria Storage Advisory Group working with PROV and a number of charities over the years. Joining the RIMPA Global Board and collaborating with members and giving back to the sector is a passion of his and he looks forward to the next 3 years with RIMPA Global.

Matt O'Mara CXRIM FRIM | Portfolio Lead
Matt is a Director and Owner of i3 Ltd and Co-owner of Analysis Paralysis Ltd in New Zealand, bringing more than 35 years’ experience across information management, ICT, and senior executive leadership. A RIMPA Fellow, his career spans health, education, defence, audit, private sector and government, including roles as a local government Chief Executive and Chief Information and Technology Officer for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. He specialises in strategic information management and business intelligence, with extensive experience leading large teams in complex environments and working with diverse stakeholders.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Studies along with qualifications in management, adult education, health science, cyber security and PRINCE2. He is a recipient of the J. Eddis Linton Information Proficiency Outstanding Individual Award and the RIMPA NZ Branch Excellence Individual Award. Passionate about supporting others, Matt enjoys sharing his knowledge and providing practical career development guidance grounded in decades of industry and executive experience.
Joy Siller ARIM (Life) | Portfolio Lead
Joy Siller is the Managing Director of Siller Systems Administration, a private information management consulting business. She has over 40 years’ experience in information management field having started in the NSW State Archives Office in the 1980s. She has undergraduate and post-graduate qualifications in library science (BA Lib Sc) and business/marketing (Master of Business).
As well as having worked full-time as a consultant, in the past she has been a part-time academic at university, and chaired and participated in various committees and boards within the tertiary sector. Within her field of information management, she is also a trainer, facilitator and published author. She holds a passion for education and building awareness of the importance of information in society.
Nancy Taia CXRIM CRIM (Life) | Portfolio Lead
Nancy is an Information Management Consultant, a role she has held for 2 years. Prior to this she worked in both local and state government where she held various positions from Clerical Officer to RM Manager. Her 30 years in R&IM has provided her with not only a passion for this industry but the technical skills and knowledge to help lead RIMPA Global forward in our new global direction. She enjoys challenges and looking at opportunities in innovative and collaborative ways.
Nancy’s involvement in RIMPA Global started in 1998 and she obtained Chartered status in 2018. She was a member of the Queensland Branch (commencing 2006) and Chapter (commencing 2003) until they ceased operation in 2022. She held various positions on both Councils including Branch President (6 years) and Chapter Secretary (12 years). Nancy was appointed as the inaugural Awards and Recognition Portfolio Lead in 2019 where she redesigned the RIMPA Global awards during her time as the Lead. In 2021 Nancy was the recipient of the Chris Simpson Outstanding Individual award and the J Eddis Linton Outstanding Individual award.

Michelle Tolliday | Portfolio Lead
Strategic Pillar | Portfolio Lead
Michelle has had a diverse career, with a strong focus on Information Management.
Michelle’s Masters Degree in Information Management and Systems with Monash University allowed her the opportunity to study under the great Judith Ellis and Frank Upward—and it was during this time that her passion for championing public sector accountability through improved information management began to grow.
Soon after starting her Masters, Michelle joined the Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) to manage its state‑wide Education and Training program, and in 2008, joined the Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) to manage State performance audits. Many of the audits that Michelle has been involved with reflect the central role that information management plays in a transparent and accountable government, including Maintaining the Integrity and Confidentiality of Personal Information, State Trustees Limited: Management of represented persons, Access to Public Sector Information, and Managing Public Sector Records
In 2020, Michelle returned to the information management profession, and now works as an information specialist in Victoria’s Public Sector.
In her ‘spare time’, Michelle is the Chair of the International Standards Organisation Subcommittee for Archives and Records Management (ISO/TC 46/SC 11) and is RIMPA Global’s Standards Portfolio Lead.
Michelle’s motto is that without trustworthy records, there is no transparency—without transparency, there is no accountability—and without accountability, there is no democracy.
