SharePoint might not be considered a fully featured EDRMS but is certainly a capable document management system. In this session we will talk about best practice and demonstrate how SharePoint can be used as an effective platform for the management and governance of controlled documents.
In this session we will cover a few key concepts and discuss best practice for the management of the lifecycle of controlled documents and how SharePoint can be used as an effective platform for document storage, tagging, approval and publication. However, most of the session will be devoted to a demonstration and walk-through of how SharePoint can be configured, extended and aligned to meet the needs of document managers and consumers, based on years of experience of implementing such systems with many organisations.

Derrick McManus was shot 14 times with a high-powered rifle, lying on the for 3 hours before being rescued and lost so much blood that the first Doctor thought he was already dead.
As a Police sniper, tactical diver and counter-terrorist operative Derrick knew being shot was always a possibility and he prepared physically, mentally and emotionally for it but how do you prepare for being shot 14 times?
Derrick is now fascinated with Human Durability. What does it take to sustain optimal performance in the face of challenge and change? He has a research collaboration with the UniSA School of Psychology and talks to everyone from school children to RAAF fighter pilots and all in between.
Derrick will tell you the story of being shot, lying on the ground fully conscious for 3 hours and how he survived and thrived. More importantly, you will see how much more Human Durability you already have and how you can access to create more success with less stress in any endeavour.
Highlights from this session will include:
5 Drivers for Success – applicable to special operations but also any other environment
2 x models for Resilience – Functional Resilience to get through the day-to-day and Aspirational Resilience to take on those really big passion filled dreams.
