INTRODUCTION

Emotional intelligence is essential for effective communication, strong workplace relationships, and professional success. This Microcredential supports participants to build greater self-awareness, manage emotions effectively, and respond constructively to the emotions of others in the workplace.

Designed for professionals, supervisors, and emerging leaders, this Microcredential develops practical emotional intelligence skills that can be applied in real workplace situations.

This Microcredential is based on the nationally recognised unit BSBPEF502 – Develop and Use Emotional Intelligence.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This Microcredential is suitable for: Professionals across all industries, team leaders and supervisors, emerging and experiences leaders as well as anyone seeking to strengthen their emotional intelligence and workplave effectiveness.

Duration: Classes held over 2 weeks, consisting of 2 sessions of approximately 3 hours each.

Timings: 10:00 am AEST to 1:00 pm AEST.


LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the Microcredential, participants will be able to:

  • Identify personal emotional strengths and areas for development

  • Apply strategies to regulate emotions in workplace situations

  • Recognise and respond appropriately to the emotions of others

  • Communicate more effectively using emotional intelligence principles

ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS

This Microcredential includes formal assessment aligned to the national unit of competency.

To successfully complete the micro-credential, participants must:

  • Participate in all learning activities

  • Complete and submit all required assessments

  • Demonstrate competency against the assessment criteria of BSBPEF502

Assessment activities may include knowledge assessments and practical tasks at the workplace or simulated scenarios.


CERTIFICATION

Participants who successfully complete all assessment requirements will be issued a Statement of Attainment for BSBPEF502 – Develop and Use Emotional Intelligence, in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

This unit may be used for credit transfer towards further study in nationally recognised qualifications at RIMPA Global, including:

  • BSB50120 Diploma of Business-Records and Information Management

  • BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management

  • BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business-Records and Information Management
