In Victoria, the dynamic and active nature of Local Government Information Management (IM) presents a prime opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Recognising this, in 2023 the Victorian Local Government Community of Practice (VLGCoP) was introduced to provide a platform for practitioners to come together, exchange ideas, hear from experts, and tackle current challenges.
Designed to foster informal yet impactful discussions without the constraints of strict agendas or formal votes, the aim is to create an environment ripe for networking, sharing, and learning from one another. This initiative marks a step forward in strengthening the Victorian Local Government community and building a supportive network of professionals.
