The Opportunity

We are seeking an Information Management Analyst (Level 5) to help modernise information and records management practices across the Department. This role is ideal for experienced public sector professionals who enjoy translating legislation, policy and business needs into practical, technology‑enabled solutions.

Working within Business Information Systems, you will lead and contribute to initiatives that strengthen how information is created, managed, and used across the Department. You will collaborate with business areas, ICT specialists and stakeholders to improve systems, processes and compliance outcomes.

About you

This role will suit an experienced Information Management Professional with demonstrated experience in technology‑supported information and records management and the ability to navigate complex legislative and compliance environments.

You will be comfortable working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, able to understand business practices and information needs, and capable of influencing and driving change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities are key to success in this role.

Knowledge of recordkeeping legislation, policies, standards and procedures is required, along with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, customer‑focused way.

Experience with project and/or change management principles will be well regarded.

  1. A detailed CV that clearly outlines the skills and experience you have gained in relation to the job description; and
  2. A written statement (maximum two (2) pages) addressing only the following selection criteria (SC):
  • SC1: Demonstrated experience in the analysis and development of contemporary information and records management solutions supported by technology, including leading complex initiatives.
  • SC2: Demonstrated experience working in collaboration with all levels of staff to determine their business practices and information needs, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • SC3: Knowledge of recordkeeping legislation, policies, standards and procedures as required.
