The Opportunity

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Senior Information Management Officer to join our team.
In this role, you will:
Manage complex information management matters.
Maintain, access, and safeguard information resources.
Provide training and guidance to staff.
Contribute to the development of information management tools.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of our information systems.
Create, process, and maintain physical and electronic files in accordance with Branch Policies and the Department’s Retention and Disposal Schedule.
The role may include physically strenuous activity including moderate lifting and carrying of items up to 15kgs in weight.

We currently have one permanent part time position available for immediate filling at 0.5 FTE (37.5 hours per fortnight). This is a great opportunity for those seeking flexibility!
Talent Pool Opportunity
In addition to filling the current vacancy, we are also establishing a pool of suitable candidates to fill similar future positions across DTMI. These may include both fixed term and permanent roles.
Applicants assessed as suitable will be placed in a pool that may be used to fill vacancies arising within 12 months from the date of the first appointment.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in an information management environment, with sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, confidential records.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Good analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities to manage competing priorities.
- The capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, flexible, customer‑focused approach, along with personal integrity and professionalism.
