Upcoming online events with DPC RAM
Over April, the Digital Preservation Coalition we will be holding two online DPC RAM events in the Australasia & Asia-Pacific time zone.
Next Monday 17 April 4.30 – 5.30pm AEST we are holding a RAM JAM watch party on improving digital preservation capability with DPC RAM. This is a chatty members-only workshop run by Jenny Mitcham, DPC’s Head of Good Practice and Standards live from the UK. The session is aimed at members who would like some advice on progressing from first steps to a more managed digital preservation capability. It is assumed that attendees will have some knowledge of DPC RAM. They may have already carried out their own self-assessment and have some understanding of current strengths and weaknesses within their organisation. The session draws upon the experiences discussed in a recent RAM JAM session in the UK in November. It will include screenings of selected presentations from a panel of DPC Members who shared their own experiences of making progress with the different sections of DPC RAM.
Please register a.s.a.p. to make sure you don’t miss out! There are 5 places available for full members and one for each
associate member. Registration will close at 10.00pm AEST on Sun 16 April 2023.
Then on 26 April at various times (from 4.00pm – late AEST) you can book in for an individual 30 minute RAM-bulance surgery session to get live help and advice with completing your DPC RAM assessment directly from the Good Practice and Standards team in the UK.
For anyone who is using or starting to think about using the DPC RAM to help with their digital preservation activities, these events are a great opportunity not to be missed
