Jade is passionate about identifying the challenges and improving processes to deliver better outcomes for council, the community and customers.Records Management Coordinator, Lismore City Council
I have built a career spanning more than two decades in records and information management, with over ten years dedicated to my current role as Records Management Coordinator at Lismore City Council. My journey began in New Zealand, where I earned a Master of Library and Information Studies from Victoria University of Wellington in 2000, completing a dissertation on the structure and governance of the National Archives of New Zealand under the guidance of Rachel Lilburn. This academic foundation launched my professional path as an Archivist with Archives New Zealand, before moving to Australia where I took on senior roles at the City of Sydney and Mosman Municipal Council, gaining extensive experience in document management, corporate support, and governance.
Since joining Lismore City Council in 2009, I have been committed to strengthening recordkeeping practices and supporting the organisation’s information management needs. I bring a deep passion for the profession and a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by local government. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and listening to music, pursuits that balance my professional life and keep me inspired.
