This year’s theme, AI Meets Information, brings together the R&IM community for three days of ideas, practical learning, technology, networking and conversations about where our profession is heading next.
What’s waiting for you at RIMPA Live?
The 2026 program tackles some of the biggest issues facing R&IM professionals right now, including AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity, information architecture, data governance, digital transformation, information lifecycle management and the changing role of the profession.
One of our headline speakers, Dominic Thurbon, will explore Data, AI, People and the New Information Advantage, while across three stages you'll hear from practitioners, industry leaders and technology experts sharing practical experiences and challenging us to think differently about the future of information.
You can also expect some RIMPA Live favourites, including Information Feud: Australia vs. Everyone Else, the RIMPA Global Hackathon finalist pitches, plenty of networking and a Trade Arena packed with organisations showcasing the latest R&IM technologies and solutions.
And when the sessions finish, the networking continues.
Tuesday evening brings A Night at the Movies at our Welcome Reception, before Wednesday night's Diamond Ball: A Regal Masquerade gives us the chance to dress up, celebrate and enjoy one of the biggest nights for our industry!

There are also opportunities to extend your RIMPA Live experience with additional activities around the convention.
DataVision Workshop 2026 takes place on Tuesday 20 October from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, giving delegates another opportunity for practical learning before the main convention program gets underway.
Our Local Government Community of Practice will also bring local government R&IM professionals together on Tuesday morning for dedicated discussion, knowledge sharing and networking with others facing similar challenges across the sector.
And if you're arriving on your own or simply want to meet some new faces early, Connections Kickstart: Meet, Mingle & Make Your Convention Crew on Tuesday afternoon is designed to help you start making connections before the Welcome Reception even begins.
