ALGIM are thrilled to share some exciting updates. This year promises to be bigger than before…

Their 2025 theme focuses on “Collaborating Beyond Council Boundaries,” enabling them to foster discussions and partnerships delivering greater value to our communities by working together.

This year, the conference will have an educational focus and a new stream – Data and Insights which will encompass spatial data.

They are really excited to announce that our opening keynote speaker is “The Original Internet Godfather” Brett Johnson. Originally a centre figure in the cybercrime world for over 20 years, today Brett works as a security consultant and speaker all over the world.

Early bird registration is now available for the ALGIM Conference 2025, held in Wellington from 25–27 November. Options include full conference, one-day, and student passes. Group discounts are offered for three or more delegates from the same organisation. Full registrations include sessions, catering, networking events, and a ticket to the Gala Dinner.

The event takes place at Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, located at 50 Cable Street. Easily accessible by foot, bus, train, or taxi, the venue is near public parking and local amenities. Cyclists can use public bike racks on Wakefield Street.
