ARANZ Opens Call for Proposals for 2026 Conference
The Archives and Records Association of New Zealand Te Huinga Mahara has opened its Call for Proposals for the ARANZ Conference 2026, to be held in Wellington from 26–27 November 2026, with pre-conference events taking place on 25 November.
This year's conference marks ARANZ's 50th anniversary and will explore the theme "Mā wai ēnei mahi? | Who is this work for?", encouraging discussion on the past, present and future of the archives and records profession in Aotearoa New Zealand. The association welcomes submissions from practitioners, students and anyone with meaningful experiences of archives and records.
Presentation formats include individual papers, lightning talks, panel discussions, posters and other innovative formats. Abstract submissions close on 12 August 2026, with successful applicants notified approximately two weeks later. Presenters do not need to be ARANZ members, and accepted presentations may also be considered for publication in the association's journal, Archifacts.
