Call for Expressions of Interest – RIMPA Research Advisory Committee
As an exciting outcome of last year’s Hackathon, RIMPA Global is proud to announce the formation of the RIMPA Research Advisory Committee (RIMPA RAC). This committee has been established to continue exploring innovative information management (IM) concepts and to drive forward research that delivers real impact to our profession.
Seed funding for this initiative was kickstarted with $10,000 in Hackathon prize money, and contributions will continue as the program grows.
We are now calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from individuals across all disciplines, including (but not limited to) academics, technologists, legal and finance experts, government and non-government representatives, students, and vendors. If you’re passionate about seeing RIMPA at the forefront of research, concepts, and change, this is your opportunity to contribute.
About the Committee
The RIMPA RAC will advise the Board on research matters, including setting priorities, evaluating grant applications, and identifying gaps and opportunities in the sector. The Committee will also:
-
Establish criteria and evaluate research grant applications.
-
Identify key research priorities and gaps at national and international levels.
-
Advise on global trends, issues, and opportunities in information management.
-
Respond to policy changes and frameworks affecting research.
-
Recommend opportunities for collaboration across academia, government, and industry.
-
Ensure research findings are effectively communicated and applied to deliver practical value.
-
Review specific research topics, proposals, and RIMPA’s responses to consultations as required.
