Call for Submissions – RAILS 2025 Conference

Submissions are now open for the RAILS 2025 Conference, taking place 3–5 November in person and featuring a dynamic three-day program including keynote sessions, the Australasian Information Educators’ Symposium (AIES), and a Doctoral Consortium. The conference welcomes a range of contributions: paper presentations (20 minutes + Q&A), panels (with three or more contributors), posters, and doctoral presentations. AIES proposals may include papers or panels addressing key issues in library and information studies education across Australasia.
To submit, please complete the RAILS 2025 Submission Form with the following: contributor details, presentation title, type of submission, a 500-word extended abstract, and 3–5 keywords. Submissions must be in English. Most contributions will undergo a blind peer review process. Key dates include: submission deadline (18 May), notification of acceptance (11 July), and early bird registration deadline (1 September). If you cannot access the online form, an alternative Word document version is available.
Presenters are also invited to submit full papers for consideration in a special issue of the Journal of the Australian Library and Information Association (JALIA). Submission types include research papers, research-in-practice, and editorially reviewed practical papers. Full papers are due by 1 February 2026, with publication anticipated in September 2026. For more details, visit the JALIA author instructions.
