Company Outstanding Achievement Award Winners and Status Upgrades

RIMPA Global Company Achievement Awards and Status Recognitions were celebrated at the Diamond Ball at the RIMPA Live Convention 2025- here are the winners!

The energy was electric at this year’s RIMPA Live Convention, as the records and information management community came together to celebrate the profession’s finest achievements. From industry trailblazers to emerging leaders, the RIMPA Global Company Achievement Awards and Status Recognitions highlighted the outstanding dedication, innovation, and contribution of individuals and organisations shaping the future of information governance at the Diamond Ball on the Wednesday evening.

Honouring Our Award Winners

This year’s awards recognised excellence across a range of categories, from leadership and innovation to education and advocacy. Each winner demonstrated the values and vision that define RIMPA Global’s mission to elevate the standards of information management globally.

These awards not only acknowledge professional excellence but also celebrate those who inspire others, drive positive change, and champion the importance of managing information as a strategic asset.

Professional Status Upgrades and Life Memberships

In addition to the awards, RIMPA Live 2025 also saw the formal recognition of members who achieved their Fellow status upgrades through RIMPA Globals’ Professional Status Upgrade system and awarded Life Membership. The Fellow Status is the highest level of professional recognition, while Life Membership honours exceptional service and long-term dedication to both RIMPA Global and the profession. These acknowledgements celebrate our members’ commitment to excellence, professional growth, and advancing records and information management practice.

J. EDDIS LINTON OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL

​​​Carolyn Hartman​ CXRIM MRIM

As a Chartered member of RIMPA, Carolyn has consistently been involved in the Company and wider industry for many years. Facilitating and hosting workshops, co-presenting at RIMPA Live, and mentoring students.  Carolyn initiated and led the development of a modern capability framework, addressing digital and soft skill gaps and fostering team collaboration through innovative engagement. Her work evolved into a foundational resource for RIMPA’s certification program. She is a dedicated Ambassador and has contributed to the development of the newly released certification program and she has actively participated in key strategic committees including Risk and Governance.

DAVID MOLDRICH​ OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER

Michael Haley

Michael has demonstrated dedication as a RIMPA member, self-funding trips to present at RIMPA Live over the past three years to share his knowledge and experience with delegates. He has mentored the Hackathon, participated in Education Summits, and continually supports RIMPA’s global education efforts. Michael serves as Secretariat for the Global Information Consortium (GIC), promoting advancement in information management worldwide. As an exemplary volunteer committed to both RIMPA and ARMA, Michael embodies the base attributes of giving back and advocating for our profession.

PAMELA HALL OUTSTANDING GROUP

Victoria Police – IM Program

The IM Program delivered a major uplift in IM maturity, advancing from Level 2: AWARE to Level 3: FORMATIVE in the IMMAP Report, making Victoria Police one of the top five organisations in the sector. The initiative introduced three new systems, supported over 50 work units with secure sharing tools, and secured funding for three new specialist roles, despite fiscal constraints, driving digital transformation and compliance across a workforce of around 23,000.

JULIE APPS NEW PRACTITIONER

Miccaeli Champness​

Miccaeli is a highly capable and forward-thinking professional with a strong passion for innovation and process improvement. Demonstrating initiative and analytical skills, she has taken on additional responsibilities within her workplace, while also being a very active Ambassador. Balancing multiple priorities within her workplace, while also maintaining high standards, fostering trust and collaboration, making her an invaluable asset to her organisation.

TOM LOVETT OUTSTANDING STUDENT

Stacey Boillat

In the past 12 months Stacey has completed a Bachelor of Information Studies at Charles Sturt University and through their learnings she has been able to practically apply her knowledge in her day-to-day role and actively pursue a path of advocacy within her organisation.​

iQ ARTICLE ​OF THE YEAR

Joy Siller ARIM (Life)

After 163 issues and a proud 42-year history, 2025 marked the final edition of the iQ magazine. Joy’s article The Cloud Myth and Other Barriers to Digital Sustainability carried on the tradition of sharing her insights and knowledge. Joy article challenges the widely held belief that cloud computing is inherently sustainable. She delivers a compelling critique of digital transformation strategies that overlook environmental impacts and exposes the hidden carbon footprint of cloud services and calls for a more holistic approach to digital sustainability. Her insights resonated deeply with iQ readers and the judging panel and it stood out for its originality, relevance, and actionable guidance.

JIM SHEPHERD PITCH PERFECT

Leadership through Data (LTD)

Dressed as flowers, Jaki and Andrea delivered a pitch on their EMPOWER (Engagement, Management, Process, Oversight, Workforce, Excellence and Resources) Programme with delegates and the judging panel agreeing the pitch was delivered with clarity, enabling them to easily understand the message being delivered, in a creative way that made them more aware of what the program is about.

Hall Of Fame

Joy Siller​ ARIM (Life)

Joy’s impact on the records and information management profession spans more than three decades. A true pioneer, she has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership, ethical practice, and an unwavering commitment to advancing our profession. Her journey with RIMPA has been marked by deep involvement at both local and national levels. From serving as a Branch Councillor and Events Coordinator to leading educational initiatives and contributing to convention planning, she has played a vital role in shaping member engagement and professional development. Joy’s tenure on the Federal board saw her advocate for emerging sector issues, ensuring the organisation remained future-focused. More recently, she has embraced the role of Ambassador, helping to launch and refine the program. Beyond RIMPA, her influence extends across government, academia, and regulatory bodies. She has contributed to curriculum development, standards consultations, and policy discussions, and has lectured and presented both nationally and internationally. Joy embodies the values of empowerment, nurturing, collaboration, innovation, and ethical practice, with her legacy being one of mentorship, leadership, and tireless service.

Chris Fripp FRIM (Life)

With a career spanning more than three decades, Chris has profoundly influenced the records and information management profession both in Australia and across the globe. Over the years, he has held numerous leadership roles within RIMPA, including Branch President and Federal President. Chris played a pivotal role in shaping industry standards as a key participant on the ISO standards committee and was instrumental in developing and defining records management standards not only for Australia but also for other countries, further cementing Australia's global reputation in this field. A true pioneer of electronic document and records management systems, he set benchmarks for best practices and became a trusted expert for organisations seeking guidance. Chris’ unwavering commitment to education is evident through the establishment of the first Diploma and Advanced Diploma in records and information management, programs that have shaped the careers of countless professionals through delivery in Australia and internationally. Beyond his technical and educational contributions, Chris is celebrated for his collaborative spirit, mentoring, and passion for nurturing future leaders. His legacy is woven into the RIMPA community where professionals frequently acknowledge the transformational role he has played in their careers.

Life Upgrades

Stephen Clarke CSRIM MRIM (Life) 

Stephen Clarke CSRIM MRIM was awarded Life Membership in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the records and information management profession. With a career spanning the UK and New Zealand, including his role as Chief Archivist, Stephen was a driving force in advancing international standards through his long-standing involvement with ISO/TC 46/SC 11. His commitment to RIMPA included presenting, publishing, mentoring, and training. Stephen’s global advocacy, leadership, and dedication to education have left a lasting impact on the profession, making him a truly deserving Life Member.

Upgrades

Sandra Ennor CERIM FRIM successfully upgraded her professional membership to 'Fellow' in August 2025. Sandra has over 25 years' experience in the industry and many years as a RIMPA Global volunteer in positions such as a member of the Victorian Branch Council and more recently a RIMPA Ambassador and mentor. She demonstrated her knowledge and understanding of all information and data management capabilities including information governance, standards and best practice, risk management, information architecture and data quality and literacy.

Dr Bethany Sinclair-Giardini CXRIM FRIM received her upgrade to 'Fellow' professional status in September 2025.  Bethany's information management career spans over three decades with experience, skills and knowledge across a multitude of disciplines including, mentoring, technical expertise, data and information governance, collaboration, project management and business strategy to name a few.  Her many years of volunteer work for RIMPA Global as a Victorian Branch Council councillor and her current position of RIMPA Ambassador and mentor were also recognised.   In 2024, Betahny was awarded RIMPA Global's prestigious J Eddis Linton Outstanding Individual and also took home the 2024 Community Forum award.
