Celebrating Leadership in South Australia’s Records Community

We’re delighted to congratulate two outstanding RIMPA Global members on their recent appointments to the State Records Council of South Australia, recognising their leadership, expertise and ongoing contribution to the profession.

Kerry Reappointed as RIMPA Global Representative (2026–2029)

Kerry Hazel has been reappointed to represent RIMPA Global on the Council for a further term, continuing her strong contribution to statewide recordkeeping governance.

With over 25 years of experience in information management across a range of industries, both locally and internationally, Kerry is Director of KKiT Consultancy and holds a Bachelor of Information Studies - Records and Archives Management. She is a Certified Information Professional (CIP) and an Archives, Records and Information Management Professional (ARIM).

Over the past six years as RIMPA’s representative, Kerry has contributed to the review and approval of disposal schedules and supported the ongoing strengthening of records management practice across South Australia. She is a passionate advocate for information governance compliance and for the critical role of records in supporting accountability, transparency and informed decision-making.

Kerry has shared that she is looking forward to continuing her contribution as RIMPA’s representative for the 2026–2029 term. We thank her for her continued leadership and commitment to the profession.


Antoniette Appointed as Local Government Representative

Antionette Spiniello

We also congratulate Antoniette Spiniello on her appointment representing Local Government on the Council.

With more than 30 years’ experience in South Australian local government, Antoniette specialises in records and information management. As Team Leader, Information Management at the City of Burnside, she leads organisational compliance with the State Records Act 1997 and General Disposal Schedule 40. Her work includes strategic enhancements to electronic document management systems, including TechnologyOne ECM, and implementing Objective at the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters.

Her career spans senior roles across multiple councils, where she has led major EDRMS implementations, contributed to sector-wide governance initiatives such as the GDS40 Working Group, and driven improvements in records governance, FOI coordination and information compliance. Antoniette is widely recognised for her leadership in developing robust information management frameworks that support transparency, accountability and the protection of sensitive information across local government.


The Role of the Local Government Representative

As the Local Government Representative on the State Records Council of South Australia, Antoniette will represent the local government sector in statewide recordkeeping decisions, provide practical input on policies, standards and disposal schedules, and help ensure guidance is workable and consistently applied across councils.

The role also strengthens communication between State Records and councils, supporting compliant and sustainable information management practices across South Australia.


These appointments reflect the strength of expertise within the RIMPA Global community and the important role our members play in shaping records and information governance at a state level.
