Achieving Associate status recognises professional experience, knowledge and commitment to the records and information management profession. Both Andrea and Kylie have made valuable contributions to the sector and to the RIMPA community, making this recognition especially well deserved.
Andrea McIntosh ARIM
With more than 25 years of experience across business and information management, Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to the profession.
Beginning her career in marketing, Andrea quickly recognised the importance of effective information management in supporting customer insights and informed decision-making. This sparked a passion for database development and information systems that would go on to shape her career.
Andrea has since built extensive experience within Local Government information and records management, working across strategy development, information and data architecture, project delivery and governance. Her focus is firmly on creating sustainable information management practices while delivering solutions that work in the real world.
Many within the RIMPA community will also know Andrea as a RIMPA trainer, where her passion for sharing knowledge and building the capability of others shines through. As an experienced trainer and coach, she enjoys bringing people along on their information management journey and helping stakeholders understand the value of good IM practice.
Andrea also contributes to the development of ISO standards and is the convenor of the International Working Group for Recordkeeping Standards in Aotearoa New Zealand, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to strengthening professional practice across the sector.

Kylie Welch ARIM
Kylie is an Information Management practitioner specialising in Microsoft 365, SharePoint and governance-led implementation across New Zealand public sector environments.
Working closely with organisations, Kylie focuses on designing practical and usable solutions that balance compliance and accessibility with the realities of how people work every day.
Kylie will also be a familiar face to many in the RIMPA community, having shared her knowledge and experience as a presenter at a number of RIMPA events. Known for her relatable and down-to-earth approach, she brings Information Management to life through practical stories, lessons learned and clear guidance based on frontline experience.
As an author, speaker and creator of Information Management resources, Kylie is passionate about helping practitioners build their confidence and capability in an increasingly complex digital environment. Her work also explores the evolving intersection between Information Management and AI and what this means for the profession.
