Commonwealth referrals to identity theft support soar
Individuals credentials are being stolen or breached at an increasing rate, with around 25,000 Australians referred to an identity support service last financial year. The federal government has revealed a 26 percent annual growth in the use of identity theft support services since FY20-21 due to compromised Commonwealth credentials.
