HIMAA Presents National Health Information Management Week 2026

The Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) has announced that National Health Information Management Week 2026 will be held from 17–23 August. This year's theme, "Trusted information, smarter decisions, stronger communities," highlights the essential role health information professionals play in supporting safe, connected and data-driven healthcare across Australia.

The week celebrates the broad health information workforce, including professionals in health information management, clinical coding, digital health, data analytics, clinical documentation improvement, privacy, freedom of information and data governance. HIMAA is encouraging members and organisations to get involved by sharing their stories, hosting workplace events and promoting the profession to raise awareness and inspire the next generation of health information professionals.
