Strong information management doesn't happen by accident. It happens when organisations understand what matters, measure performance and use insights to drive continual improvement.

As part of the ongoing partnership between RIMPA Global and ALGIM, delegates attending the ALGIM Learning Exchange this August will have the opportunity to participate in RIMPA Metrics & Reporting: Measuring What Matters, a practical workshop designed to help information management professionals demonstrate the value of their work.

The workshop explores how to develop meaningful metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, monitor compliance, manage risk and produce reports that clearly communicate the health and impact of an organisation's information management program. Participants will leave with practical approaches they can apply within their own organisations to strengthen governance and support informed decision-making.

The partnership between ALGIM and RIMPA Global reflects a shared commitment to building capability across the local government sector. By combining ALGIM's understanding of local government with RIMPA's expertise in records and information management, the collaboration provides valuable learning opportunities that support stronger information governance and organisational accountability.

The ALGIM Learning Exchange will be held on 11–12 August 2026 at Novotel Melbourne on Collins. If you're attending the event, be sure to join this interactive workshop and discover how measuring the right things can help demonstrate the value of information management within your organisation.
