Media Release - RIMPA Global

This week sees an iconic change for RIMPA - Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia, since the inception of the association in 1969, with professional members approving two constitutional changes in a special meeting.

Formerly operating under a federated model, RIMPA announced the move to a corporate model to further enhance opportunities for members, volunteers, partners and sponsors and provide consistency with an overarching structure.

The ongoing emergence of the company further demonstrates the Boards commitment to modernisation and a sustainable business model.

Along with the move to a corporate model, RIMPA will now be known as the Records and Information Management Practitioners Alliance – Global (RIMPA Global).

Anne Cornish, CEO of RIMPA, stated that “the introduction of the words PRACTITIONERS, ALLIANCE and GLOBAL allow RIMPA to diversify the membership to include persons new, not so new and long termers from information management genres across the world.”

RIMPA members have welcomed the changes and are looking forward to seeing the vision of RIMPA Global come to life with a fresh new look and full rebrand.

Chair of the Board, Thomas Kaufhold, stated that “the hard work of the past few months will be worth it for the membership and congratulations to the RIMPA staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Boards vision of One RIMPA was achieved.”
