New DPC events coming up in Australia & New Zealand!
Ranging from in-person workshops to panel discussions and digital preservation training, the events take place in September and October and aim to provide an opportunity for the digital preservation community to learn more about different aspects of preserving digital materials for future generations.
On the program are ‘Just Keep the Bits’ workshops in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane, about risk management and digital preservation; a panel discussion ‘Local digital preservation challenges for a global community’ at the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) conference led by Robin Wright; an online Documenting Digital Preservation: watch party and a RAM Jam workshop in New Zealand, guiding participants on site through the process of the DPC's Rapid Assessment Model.
The DPC would like to express their gratitude to member organizations: University of Melbourne, National Archives of Australia, State Library New South Wales, Queensland State Archives, and the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa for their generous offer to host these events.
