Our Wise Leaders Profile: Phil Taylor

We are delighted to spotlight Phil Taylor, a distinguished member of the OWLS program, whose legacy in the records management industry spans over five decades. Phil's illustrious career commenced in 1970, and by 1974, he had already become an integral part of the former RMAA. A graduate of both RMIT and Monash University, he made significant contributions within various Victorian Government agencies.

Relocating to Queensland in 1992, Phil's commitment continued to shine. His pivotal role as Queensland Branch Councillor in 1993 culminated in his presidency from 2001 to 2007. A true champion of records management, he is currently an esteemed member of the Editorial Committee of iQ.

Though retired, Phil's dedication remains unwavering. His profound insights, particularly in public policy's synergy with records management, continue to shape the industry. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Phil was awarded Life Membership of RIMPA in 2006. Let's celebrate Phil Taylor's remarkable journey and the indelible mark he's left on records management.
