PROV appoints new Executive Director Information Governance and Keeper of Public Records

Michelle Rennie has been appointed Executive Director Information Governance and Keeper of Public Records at PROV.

Michelle Rennie has been appointed as the new Executive Director Information Governance and Keeper of Public Records at Public Record Office Victoria, commencing on 18 May 2026.

Michelle joins PROV from The Royal Children’s Hospital, where she most recently served as Chief Digital Officer. She brings extensive leadership experience in information governance, digital transformation and the management of sensitive information in complex technology environments.

Her appointment comes at a time when government records are increasingly created and managed through digital systems, automated processes and emerging technologies. This evolving landscape continues to strengthen the importance of information governance, cybersecurity and long-term digital preservation to ensure public records remain secure, accessible and reliable over time.

Michelle’s experience in developing innovative digital solutions and leading digital transformation initiatives is expected to support PROV’s ongoing work to preserve Victoria’s public records and improve access to archival information for future generations.
