PROV: Community History Awards
The Victorian Community History Awards, presented annually by Public Record Office Victoria in collaboration with the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, recognise individuals and groups who work tirelessly on community history projects that preserve and share local stories. These stories play a key role in helping all Victorians gain a deeper understanding of their heritage.
Award categories include:
- Victorian Premier's History Award ($5,000 prize)
- Collaborative Community History Award ($2,000)
- Local History Project Award ($2,000)
- History Publication Award ($2,000)
- Small History Publication Award ($1,500)
- Small Organisation History Project Award ($1,500)
- Community Diversity Award ($1,500)
- Digital Storytelling Award ($1,500)
- Historical Interpretation Award ($1,500)
- Oral History Award, in collaboration with Oral History Victoria ($1,500)
- History Article Award ($500)
Submissions close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, 2 October 2024.
To enter, submit online via Victorian Community History Awards 2024, or use the hardcopy entry form available from September at the Victorian Archives Centre, Ballarat Archives Centre, Bendigo Regional Archives Centre, Geelong Heritage Centre, and the Royal Historical Society of Victoria.
