Queensland State Archives (QSA) Draft Mandatory Standards and Guidelines – Round 2 Consultation Now Open

Following feedback from the initial consultation, the QSA have updated the documents to reflect previous input and introduced a new Disposal Standard. Now is your chance to help shape the final version.

2. Submit Written Feedback via Survey
QSA are seeking one response per public authority using our online survey, due by 16 May 2025. It’s designed for records and information management practitioners and other key staff (e.g. risk or corporate services).
The survey covers:

Impacts and estimated costs/benefits of the five new minimum requirements

General feedback on the draft Standards

Feedback on the draft Minimum Metadata Set

📅 Submit before: 16 May 2025
You will need to ensure your response is endorsed by your Chief Executive if required, as future consultation (Round 3 in June) will formally engage Chief Executives.
🔎 What Happens Next?
After consultation closes, QSA will review feedback and revise the draft documents. A third round of consultation will follow in June 2025, inviting formal feedback from Chief Executives before submission to Government.
