Members Suggestion:
Create an Industry (Global or Australia Specific) Professional Certification and recertification program similar to IT certification e.g. Certified Information & Records Management Practitioner Australasia (CIRMPA), base it in practical knowledge to perform roles, could have a couple of tiers even, proctored exam
RIMPA’s response:
Exciting news on the horizon! Our Status Improvement Working Group is hard at work crafting an awesome certification program just for you. Right now, the Board is exploring how this new certification will complement our existing professional status program.
Stay tuned—this exciting new benefit is coming soon, and you won't want to miss it!
Members Comments:
That the RIMPA Board should be more transparent and diverse.
RIMPA’s Response:
We hear you loud and clear! Transparency and diversity are top priorities for the Board. Over recent years, they have made significant changes to the Board election process. RIMPA now has opportunities for appointed directors and has given all professional members the power to vote for who they believe can do the best job.
Currently, the Board is discussing further strategies to encourage emerging practitioners to get involved. We're also proud of our Ambassador Group, which serves as a fantastic succession plan for future Board members.
When it comes to transparency, we’re committed to keeping things open and communicative. The Board is always ready to discuss all things RIMPA, so don’t hesitate to ask questions or share your ideas and concerns with any of us.
