Where is the convention being held?

RIMPA Live is being held in South Australia in the heart of Adelaide city.

 

Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia, the state's largest city and the fifth-most populous city in Australia. "Adelaide" may refer to either Greater Adelaide or the Adelaide city centre. The demonym Adelaidean is used to denote the city and the residents of Adelaide. The Traditional Owners of the Adelaide region is the Kaurna. The area of the city centre and surrounding Park Lands is called Tarndanya in the Kaurna language.

Sustainability is embedded in everything we do, from our food and design, our practices and our people. We’re obsessed with energy and water conservation, responsible sourcing and minimising waste to landfill, and work closely with our clients on sustainable event management to help reduce their event footprint for a better tomorrow.

As the world’s first convention centre to achieve EarthCheck’s coveted Master certification – we’re supporting our state’s sustainability – and that of our shared global home.


Is there parking available on site? Disabled parking?

ACC offers two undercover car parking options with our North Terrace and Riverbank car parks. The Riverbank car park is accessible from Morphett Street / Festival Drive.

Both car parks are located directly under the Centre and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each is fitted with video surveillance camera systems and security patrols both areas.

Automated payment stations are available in both car parks and accept payment via card only (major credit cards, debit cards and mobile pay).

  • EARLY BIRD* $18.00

*Early Bird rate available 7 days for entry between 5.30am-9.30am and exit between 2.30pm-6.30pm.

An additional $1.00 will be charged for each additional hour to a maximum of $33.00 over a 24-hour period

How much does it cost to attend the RIMPA Live convention?

(prices below include GST and are based on individual and corporate membership)

  • First Release Rates Member Prices start from: $1,640 (including GST) (Valid from 8th March – 8th April)
  • Early Bird Rate Member Prices start from: $1,860 (Valid 9th April – 30th June)
  • Standard Member Rate starts from: $2,160 (Valid 1st July – 20th August)
  • (Please note registrations close 24 August for catering purposes)

When I pay by credit card, what company name will show up on my statement?

The company name on your statement will read Records and Information Management Practitioners Alliance – Global


Can I pay by invoice?

Absolutely. When you complete your registration, please choose payment method "Pay by Invoice” and it will be sent to you, directly.


What is the refund policy?

As per our terms and conditions, all cancellations must be notified in writing to the RIMPA Live Convention Manager.

  • Cancellations more than 30 days prior to the event will be charged 25% of the registration fee to cover Administration.
  • Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will be charged 50% of the registration fee to cover Administration
  • Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the event will be charged 75% of the registration fee to cover Administration

What is included with my convention registration?

Full Convention Registration (3-5 September) includes access to all keynotes, workshop sessions, daily catering and ALL social events including Black Tie and Gala Awards Dinner. Attendance at social events is not compulsory but you must RSVP to ensure space is allocated.

You’ll also gain entry to the RIMPA Live trade show arena, get access to the convention program via a mobile app (exclusively designed for the convention.)


What meals are included with my registration?

RIMPA Live full convention delegate registration includes:

  • Tuesday 3 September: Afternoon Tea plus Welcome Reception
  • Wednesday 4 September: Morning tea, lunch, Black Tie Gala Dinner
  • Thursday 5 September: Morning tea, 2 course seated lunch, afternoon tea.

Do you have any special dietary restrictions?

Let us know at the time of registration if you have any medical dietary requirements. We work very closely with the properties on these details so communicate clearly and early of anything we should be aware of. If you forget to register your dietary needs during the registration process, you must advise the RIMPA team a minimum of 14 days prior to the convention for these to be accommodated and available for you.

Please note that you may be charged an additional fee for out of the box dietary requests. With most venues now offering 3 options vegetarian, vegan and gluten free only.


How do I book my accommodation?

Delegates are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their accommodation. We're excited to offer a range of lodging options through Accommodation Link, securing competitive industry rates to accommodate various budgets. We highly encourage booking your accommodation early during registration to secure your preferred choice and avoid any potential disappointment.


What is the schedule?

The RIMPA Live Convention is run over 3 days (3-5 September 2024)


Can I send a substitute in my place?

Attendees may be substituted up until 5pm EST, 1 August 2024. Please email the convention manager with details.


Can I get credit for attending the convention and add CPD points?

Professional members who register to attend RIMPA Live convention receive 24 CPD points towards their CPD point requirement of 60 points.


Will there be Wi-Fi available?

We have got you covered - there will be free Wi-Fi available throughout the convention rooms during the event period. WIFI code TBA


What is the dress code?

Dress in layers for fluctuating temperatures, opting for light jackets or sweaters in the mornings and evenings, and lighter clothing during the day. Convention attire is typically business casual, with the Gala Awards dinner requiring 'black tie'. Be prepared for varying room temperatures at the convention and bring an additional layer for comfort.


What to expect from the weather

In late August and early September, Adelaide experiences a transitional period from winter to spring. Weather during this time can vary, but generally, you can expect mild temperatures with occasional cool days lingering from winter and warmer days heralding the onset of spring.

Typically, temperatures in late August range from around 12-18°C for highs and 6-10°C for lows. As September progresses, temperatures gradually increase, with highs reaching around 20-24°C and lows around 10-15°C. Rainfall may occur, but it's usually not excessive. Overall, it's a pleasant time to visit Adelaide, with the city beginning to come to life as spring approaches.
